Ok,  I must have fallen off the wagon and lost my memory for the last year with no updates or posts.

I unfortunately did not and have no one to blame but myself, and since I am pretty easy going I get over that pretty quick! :-)

A friend of mine at work has done well last 7 months with CrossFit, another has done well with boot camps and another with a similar gym/team/coaching atmosphere but with 6-week challenges.  I researched Pure Workout, and it feels good, makes sense, and brings a little competition/risk reward bit that I love.  It is a 6-week program where you must attend one of their hour classes 5 days a week. You must follow their diet plan, which is daunting and is meant to cleanse/detox/purge and rebuild your gut and way you eat.  You have to spread the love of their program over social media and you have to want it.  If...no when..you loose 20lbs or 5% body fat ( whichever deal you struck) within the 6 weeks then your payment for the program rolls forward to the next 6-week program.  There have been people that have made it through 5-6-7 challenges and totally changed their life.  That is what I am shooting for.

Here is my status: 7/2416- 395lbs, size 52 waist, I am happy and love life, my wife and dtrs.  I don't get down on myself as some do but I am getting scared with the ongoing foot/lower extremity pain and edema.  My cholesterol and such have remained very good for far too long with my weight and I am done being ungrateful for the support the good Lord has given me to keep me alive so long with my lackluster or just lack of effort.  I have always read personal development books, listened to talks and sought after good examples of growth and success.  I recently have been reading the book Triggers by Marshall Goldsmith and am making efforts to not fail as I have in the past but learn from those and plan to succeed.  I realize the importance of mentoring/coaching and accountability.  Above and beyond Aaron the owner/trainer at Pure Workout, I have found someone I can report my efforts to and act as a mentor.  I am changing routines such as being in bed by 10 pm rather than 12 or 1am.  I am doing this with my wife and best friend.  I am doing this for no one but me.  This is my time and I will not let myself down.

Here we are in the beginning and hopefully soon we shall soon be again...or pretty close...or even just half way would be great.  Wish me/us success!
